Family Fur Day - 15th July Eden Gardens.
Do you love Dogs and Beautiful Gardens? Listen up!
Simon Ainsworth, owner of Eden Gardens, has gone ‘barking mad’ and said yes to having a one off, Year of the Dog, open day for our fur friends. As you know, 60% of households in Australia own a pet of some sort, making us one of the world’s highest animal loving nations. We love our fur kids almost as much as our real kids! So, for one day only we have ‘a new leash on life’… here are a few ideas we are going to ‘run with’!
Book in for ‘a dog’s breakfast’ or join us for a scavenger hunt. There will also be some ‘barking mad’ specials, a best pet in the garden picture competition (#edenpets, winner receives a $50 gift voucher), a mobile dog wash and pet portraits. We’re going to hold talks on the repairing those bare patches in your lawn, plants that are pet friendly and which ones to avoid, how to compost dog poo and kitty litter and even herbal remedies for fleas that you can DIY at home. We hope you will join us to encourage local hounds (Fido, Blue, Timba, Red, Spot and Lassie) for this unique, one day only chance to be a part of the fun and frivolity that only fur-children can bring. We will have photo competition and kids workshops making pet rocks …and many other surprises on the day. *BYO dog bag, some areas will be out of bounds and play nice kids…no dog fights!
